If you have not seen Serenity, I urge you to see it, but only if you have seen the 1st and only season of Firefly. If you saw the movie without first seeing the TV series then you just didn't get all of what the movie has to offer. The movie was definitely not a high dollar production with a Spielberg experienced director so one does not feel that connection with the characters that some filmmakers have a knack for creating. Joss Whedon, also the writer of the TV series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel" is a TV director. He is used to having multiple episodes to create that love or hate of the characters. He simply didn't do that in Serenity.

Well I'm back and nobody cares and I'm all alone and.......dang phone!!!! always screwing up my feel-sorry-for-myself time. Lets see what to write about. ummmm..... I'M GOING BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!!!! If I can get a bartending job that pays well enough, I will return to ULM and major in some sort of business degree with an emphasis on realty management. Ever since I got out of high school I was determined to get on with my life and get a job and get a family and settle down. I almost did that very thing. I won't mention any names but thank you to the one who turned that world upside down. I have decided to use my youth to take chances. For too long I have shunned change and and quick decisions because of the unknown outcome. I want to embrace the unknown with trust in God to make it good. Just last week I decided at the last minute to go with a group of guys to Covington, La. I didn't have a great excuse for not going except that I could have done what I do almost every Saturday. Let's just say that it was one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. I usually will slip into a daily routine and stay that way for months. I'm going to start being more sporadic. Some of you might have already seen some of these changes. I have been for the past few years someone who likes to avoid conflict and is usually pretty quick to get things resolved. When it comes to big things, that aspect of me won't change, but life is short and I'm sick of wasting time.

Well, I finally have a good story to tell. As most of you know, my little sister, Kat, came to Ocean City to visit. While she was here we had a blast. We went out and went to the beach and did some incrdible boogie boarding the two days the the huricane was off the coast. Well it was a relaxing Sunday afternoon just before she had to return to Monroe when we were lying on the beach getting all crispy. Kat and I went for a swim. If any of you have ever been to the beach for several days at a time you know the difference between high and low tide. If you have never been to the beach and still think you know, you don't really. You see...High tide doesn't just mean the water is further up on the beach. It means that if you walk out into the water about five yards you will be about waist deep. Another five yards and you are treading water. Well in low tide you can walk out about ten yards and the water might reach your knees when a swell comes. Another ten yards and it's at your waist. Another ten yards and you hear this loud whistling noise and see a lifegaurd waving frantically while trying not to fall off the ten foot tall chair. Back to the story. So Kat and I are about fifteen yards out at low tide. The water is cool and it feels great after sitting in the sun for an hour. I turn to see a decent sized swell coming in.....hhhmmmm. I decide to ride the next one, which is biger. I catch the wave perfectly then it catches me...or fails to catch me. You see, in low tide, when a wave breaks it breaks on about six inches of water. If you are boogie boarding this is fine. If there is no boogie board to catch you when the wave breaks the sand kindly steps in. And that is why I have a strange resemblence to Owen Wilson now.

Well, when your own Mother tells you to update you better obey. But don't ya'll think that I haven't talked to her since June 20th!!! I call my momma all the time, especially after a bad dream or getting told off by some girl's brother who turned out to not be her brother, but that's another story. Well Moesha has left, but it still feels like he is here because half of his belongings are. Hey Chris, thank for the extra undies and the cool swim suit. Lacey said to stop trying to give her your phone charger, or Josh will get mad.

I have been very busy with work and visitors and learning to surf. Thats right I'm learning to surf. My boss used to surf and he has an old board that needed some repairs. He said I could use it if I got it repaired. Well, you all know me and Stephen Rockett doesn't pay someone else to do what he could do himself even if it looks like.....well, anyway. I repaired the board and waxed it up  real nicely and off I was....the board that is. I look pretty sexy holding the board, but in the water....I'm upside down alot. I can't wait till I can actually stand up and show off my new swimsuit, thanks again Chris.

I have to work a double today...WOOHOO!!!! That means mucho money. I haven't been making as much as I was told I would make, but now there are less employees and I will work pretty much every day for the rest of the summer. Anna and I will be back for Kat's Wedding weekend then we return here until after Labor Day.

I have learned to make so many drinks, it's so much fun. My new fav. is a Long Island Ice Tea. It's so easy to make, but so strong that after one you forget anything that went wrong from the whole day. After two, well, I won't have seconds again. I can't wait to build my own mini bar when I buy a house.

I bought a bunch of new cds last night. We have Sirius Satelite radio at the pool bar and I get to hear all theese cool song that I just had to get the whole album. I got The best of Sugar Ray, X&Y by Coldplay, Make Believe by Weezer, and All the Best by Paul McCartney. I'm still looking for Jack Johnson's new album.

Well, that is an update of what I am doing these days. I wouldn't expect an update for awhile, but I will see ya'll at Kat's wedding.
